Shopping & Retail on CityGate brings together Knight and Catholic-owned businesses across British Columbia offering clothing, footwear, electronics, sporting goods and specialty stores. Every listing in our Catholic small business directory is reviewed by a person and connected to a local parish or Knights of Columbus council, so you can hire with confidence.
What does Shopping & Retail include?
This category covers clothing, footwear, electronics, sporting goods and specialty stores. Whether you need a job done this week or a long-term partner you can call on for years, you can compare Catholic local businesses side by side, check each service area and contact the owner directly. There are no booking fees and no middleman.
How do I choose the right Catholic store?
Start with the basics: ask how long they have been in business, whether they are licensed and insured where required, and whether they will put a quote or estimate in writing. A good store will explain the work in plain language and give you a clear timeline.
Each CityGate profile shows hours, services, service area and the parish or council the owner belongs to. If you are unsure, ask your parish office or council members who they have used. Personal recommendations remain one of the best ways to find someone you can trust.
Why hire Catholic local businesses?
When you hire from your own faith community, your money supports families who also support your parish, school and local charities. You also gain accountability: you are working with someone who shares your values and has a reputation to keep among the people they see at Mass every week.
Where can I find shopping & retail near me?
Choose your city or parish in the search above to see who serves your area. Listings in this category cover Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, the Thompson-Okanagan, the Kootenays and Northern BC. Many businesses travel to neighbouring communities, so check the service area on each profile.
